1 galah, 1 sheep, 2 goats, 3 pigs, 4 dogs, 40 ducks and 150 chickens…plus a husband and two children! Di Barker from Millers is certainly a busy woman, with a ‘get up and go’ attitude that radiates positivity.

Di has lived in Kempsey since she was one and has raised her two boys here. She lives in Collombatti and enjoys sitting on her balcony watching native birds.

Q: What’s your current position?

A: I’ve been the Store Manager at Millers for the last 3 years.

Q: What’s a day at work look like?

A: Always busy, with lots of new clothes, great sales, and friendly customers.

Q: What’s the best thing about working at Kempsey Central?

A: Undoubtedly the people, everyone is warm and friendly. It’s a great place to work.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?


A:
Giggly…good sense of humour…nutty!

Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

A: I would really like to learn another language, Italian perhaps. Or maybe learn how to fly a plane perhaps…the possibilities.

Q: What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?

A: Chocolate of course.

Q: What’s your favourite place to eat?

A: Horseshoe Bay Kiosk at South West Rocks.

Q: What are your favourite shops at Kempsey Central?

A: How do I possibly narrow it down…let’s go with…Amcal Max Pharmacy, Early Rise Bakery and The Gourmet Chicken Shop. Everyone is so open and accommodating, it really is like having an extended family.
